I have been an active member of the Michigan QRP club since 1999 or so. In the past I have been both a Vice President, Net Control for the QRP net and organizer for the annual picnic. I have participated in many Club events over the years including contests, ham feasts, to-the-field and breakfasts. As president, it is not so much about what I have done but what the Club needs for the future. I see the challenges to be:

Improve the communication to the membership on what is happing with the Club in both its administration and activities.

  • We need a new editor for T5W.

  • Do we want to restart the Net?

  • We need someone to organize the annual picnic.

  • Do we want to have to-the-field events?

  • Do we want to formalize to Saturday breakfasts?

  • Do we want to continue / expand Zoom meetings?

  • How do we increase Club membership?

The Club needs people to step forward and take on tasks. The role of President is getting Club members, motivated, involved and active to do the things necessary to run the Club.
